- Emily Almberg, Ph.D. study of diseases and parasites of wolves in Yellowstone National Park
- Chris Burdett, Ph.D. study of Canadian lynx habitat use in the Superior National Forest (co-advisor with Dr. Jerry Niemi and Dr. Ron Moen) (www.nrri.umn.edu/lynx/)
